We need less population and less children, fewer cars and homes closer to work (walking distance), better land usage than lawns.

Shorten the loop to nature and make that path easier
Add fruit and nut trees for the homeless, and public showers and toilets. Add garden and nature zones to housing and commercial zones.
Include nature into economic calculus.
